Design and display
Sony has been using the OmniBalance design ever since the Xperia Z came out in 2013. Apple has also been constantly improving the design of the iPhone line.
Sony’s device rocks a black chassis and has the fingerprint sensor addition placed on its sideways power knobs. The Z5 also has a glass back and it has the IP65 and IP68 certificate, which makes it water and dustproof. The iPhone S6 packs a stronger aluminium frame and the screen glass has also been fortified.
Sony Xperia Z5 comes with a 1,080×1,920-resolution IPS display while the iPhone 6s has a 750×1,334-resolution display.
Camera and battery
The iPhone 6s delivers a 12 MP back end camera and 5 MP FFC one. With the iPhone 6s, one has the Live Photos option. The Sony Xperia Z5 on the other hand, packs a huge 23 MP Exmor RS rear camera and it has its SteadyShot OIS as well as the hybrid autofocus.
Battery wise, the iPhone 6s has a 1,715mAh battery incorporated whereas the Xperia Z5 packs a 2,900mAh battery. The iPhone’s battery should last a whole day maybe a day and half, if you use it with moderation while the Xperia Z5’s battery lasts 2 days.
Features
The iPhone 6s has the 3D Touch function and with it you can enable different options depending on the pressure you apply to the screen. The Sony Xperia Z5 has a microSD slot and the fingerprint scanner. The latter device offers 32GB of storage, which can be expanded.
Final thoughts
As far as costs, the Sony Xperia Z5 retails for £521, while the iPhone is priced at £539. In short, if you want a premium camera and battery, the Xpria Z5 is worth the purchase, however the iPhone 6s does deliver a snazzy design, great features and of course the 3D Touch function, which is undeniably amazing.
